ABOUT

Fall of 2021 marked my first semester at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute and with it, my first programming class: Intro to Computer Science in Python. I came to college excited, I had studied hard to get here and now was my time to relax and have fun. I was so wrong.

I struggled heavily in the class. It was my first time programming while most of my peers had been doing this for years. Feeling hopeless, I questioned my prospects. I wasn't good enough. Midway through the semester, I broke down. I called my parents and told them I was going to switch my major to Biology.

I somehow survived and passed the class but my grade suffered as a result. I ended my first semester with a 2.6 GPA. That lit a fire in me, I was not going to let that happen again. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do this. I WASN'T A QUITTER. In my second semester, I took Data Structures, a class nortoriously known at RPI for the demanding homeworks but that was not going to stop me. I quickly familarized myself with C++ and went to Office Hours any chance possible. My determination paid off and I recieved my first of many A's to come.

I am currently a junior and decided to purse my concentration in AI & Blockchain. I continue to learn as I take upper level CS courses and through external ventures like my internships and personal projects. This is only the beginning of my journey. I am so happy that I decided to persevere through. I want to be at the forefront revolutionizing the way we live and interact with technology in the 21th century.
